Infinite Space, Infinite God: Is that religion in my science fiction or science fiction in my religion? The writers of the Catholic SF anthology Infinite Space, Infinite God (available at www.twilighttimesbooks.com) have so seamlessly combined the two that it's hard to tell. Infinite Space, Infinite God features fifteen stories about the future Catholic Church: its struggles evangelize aliens and lost human colonies and to determine the soul-status of genetically modified humans, genetically-designed chimeras, and clones made from the Martian sand; the adventures of religious orders devoted to protecting interstellar travelers or inner-city priests; and how technical advances allow monks to live in solitude on the Moon and help one criminal learn the true meaning of Confession. But it's more than just a great read. With introductions exploring the issues at hand and current Church thinking, Infinite Space, Infinite God is bound to spark discussion and make people think--just as good science fiction should.

Leaps Of Faith An Anthology of Christian Science Fiction

Tired of science fiction that ignores our spirituality, or religious fiction that's weak on science? Leaps of Faith is an answer to a prayer! Each of its stories examines the interrelationship of faith and science in the development of human kind:

  • Can androids have souls--what is sentience?
  • How can we evangelize on alien worlds?
  • What role will the true Creator play when humans try to "play God" with time travel?
  • Can we reach the stars without that leap of faith?

  • Critically acclaimed, a Dream Realms Awards 2003 finalist, and a 2004 EPPIE Awards finalist, it received highest praise even from an atheist critic who usually hates SF!

Read what others had to say about Leaps of Faith:

ScribesWorld.com: FIVE STARS!! "Karina and Robert Fabian merge science and faith in an anthology of fifteen Christian science fiction stories that ignites our imaginations."

TimelessTales.net: "This is the first collection I have read in years where I can say that I truly enjoyed each one of the stories. I heartily recommend them to the discerning reader."

Midwestern Book Review: "Seldom does a book come along like Leaps Of Faith...I give Leaps Of Faith two thumbs up, and I look forward to similar works in the future."

Dog-eared Webzine: "Highly Recommended! ... the stories engrossed me from the beginning. Though SF/religious in nature (as stated by the publisher), each story managed to be more than that. They cover the gamut of human experience--doubt, faith, adventure, and conflict...It poses intelligent questions and offers honest answers. This is a book designed to make you think, and it achieves its goal."

Author's Choice Book Reviews: "This is a collection of stories from authors who explore many different aspects of science and faith, and what that all means when science makes another discovery, or when we reach out to alien races... I found the collection over-all thought provoking and a good read."

The Miscria Trilogy: It’s no fun to be psychic! In fact, being psychic landed Deryl Stephens in an asylum for five years, where he struggled to shield his mind from the thoughts and emotions of people barely in control of their own. Just as bad--and more disturbing--are the strange psychic Callings: the Miscria, an entity that pulls him from consciousness and imposes bizarre demands for information on everything from fortress construction to triage, and the Master, who has been slowly trying to turn him into a psychic killer. Then comes Intern Joshua Lawson who takes Deryl at his word and teaches him to accept and use his abilities. Suddenly, Deryl discovers the Miscria is humanoid, alien, female and trying desperately to protect her people from an invading alien army which the Master leads. When Deryl learns to teleport and goes to her, he finds an even greater danger--the worlds of the Miscria and the Master are on a collision course and he alone can stop them. (Book 3 in the works.)

Dragon Eye, P.I.: Migrants, Magic, and Murder. The first in what I hope will become a series. Meet Vern, a Faerie North African Wyvern in his first case. A new immigrant to the Mundane world, Vern is having problems getting accepted, not the least of which is the fact that the government can’t decide whether he’s an animal, a person, or something undefined and in-between. When a migrant worker is found at a Mundane farm seemingly choked to death by the vines while nuns are mysteriously falling ill on the Faerie side, Vern finds himself involved in a murder mystery--but to solve it, he must battle the prejudice of an entire human race. No publisher yet--any takers?

THEY DID THAT IN CHURCH?! A compendium of antics that kids have done that make their parents want to run to the Confessional--to hide! I got the idea after my youngest refused to sit in the pew and instead laid down under the pew. As I resigned myself to his misbehavior--at least he was quiet--and told myself no other mother had such a child, he remarked, “Hey, Mom. Someone drew under here.”

WITCH ANDROVITCH STORIES (CHILDREN’S) When parents can’t break their child’s naughty habits, Witch Androvitch has the cure. Read along as her magical mayhem cures one child of picking his nose, another of staying up past bedtime, and another of skipping his baths! These stories were invented on a long ride in a crowded Chicago “El” and had my kids and the adults begging for more.
